Students will be invited to create a two drawing series of the same object using Graphite and Charcoal Pencil. Students will be invited to create sculptural vessels inspired by the work of master ceramic artist Magdalene Odundo. They will learn about how the ceramics of Sub-Saharan Africa informs Odundo’s work, and how she uses asymmetry and gesture in her vessels.
